Oxford, Kansas October 2012

In 2009 the Arkansas River at Oxford, Kansas was as high as the bridge and the water rushed so rapidly that it swept away part of the railroad tracks/bridge that crossed over it. We road back to the same place so I could take pictures of the fall foliage and it didn't even look like the same place, the water level was so low and the railroad tracks and bridge have been partially taken down. It's truly amazing how we could go from flooding to drought in just three short years.

The weather was beautiful for our ride and the colors of fall are radiant. Enjoy!

Quivira National Wildlife Preserve September 2012

The Quivira National Wildlife Preserve is a beautiful piece of land nestled in Stafford County, Kansas. Home to geese, ducks, sandhill cranes, shorebirds and if you are lucky you will spot owls and some small eagles. It is a peaceful place. Sandy roads, paths for hiking and several spots to sit and take in the scenery.

The drought has been brutal to this area, the water is extremely low which made the bird and wildlife watching a little bit easier. I didn't take many pictures, I was just too busy taking it all in. Peaceful, tranquil and a time to unwind.

Peace, Pam

Houston Trip September 2012

Took a trip to Houston in September. Kollin is happy, healthy and absolutely a joy to be with! I am so proud of Erin and Kyle, they are great parents!

Enjoy the pics, Kollin gets his cranial helmet off on October 30, 2012. Sweet, adorable and a true blessing. Peace, Pam
